JON GOODMAN, Of Counsel, Frascona Joiner Goodman & Greenstein PC 

Jon Goodman has been a real estate attorney in Colorado since 1985, he is currently Of Counsel at Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein P.C., and was previously a shareholder from 1994 to 2021. Jon has published hundreds of real estate articles and is a frequent speaker on dozens of topics for the real estate industry. Clients include mortgage lenders (banks, savings and loans, mortgage companies), real estate brokers and salespersons, real estate companies, developers, property management companies, builders, subcontractors, suppliers, buyers and sellers. As an experienced real estate attorney, Jon has been quoted in various publications including, the Wall Street Journal, the Denver Post, and the Rocky Mountain News.

JOHN LOGANPartner, Laff Bennett Logan PC

John Logan’s practice is in commercial litigation, real estate, contract and employment law. Mr. Logan has practiced in Colorado for 30 years following his 1984 graduation from the University of Kansas. Mr. Logan has been on the Board of Directors of NAIOP Colorado, the leading commercial real estate development organization in Colorado, and received their 2008 Member of the Year Award for his efforts. He has also been a member of the Denver Metro Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for more than 20 years, and received that organization’s Presidents Award in 2010 for outstanding volunteer service. He has also served as a local instructor for BOMA’s Law and Risk Management RPA course. As an industry partner of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Northern Colorado Chapter, Mr. Logan has served on its legislative affairs committee, presented programs to that organization and received its Industry Partner of the Year award in 2012.  Mr. Logan is also a member of DMCAR, SMDRA and CCIM. He has served on numerous committees for various real estate organizations and has testified at the Colorado legislature regarding proposed real estate laws.

MARCIA WATERSDirector of the Division of Real Estate, Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies

Marcia Waters has been with the Colorado Division of Real Estate since August 2005. Marcia started with the Division as a Criminal Investigator for the Real Estate Commission and was promoted to Chief Investigator in 2006. In 2007, she was promoted to the position of Investigations and Compliance Director. In that capacity, she managed the investigatory and settlement programs for the Division. On October 15, 2010, she was promoted to the position of Division Director. The Division of Real Estate licenses and regulates approximately 50,000 real estate professionals. Ms. Waters serves as the administrator for the Real Estate Commission, the Board of Real Estate Appraisers, the Board of Mortgage Loan Originators, and the HOA Information and Resource Center. Ms. Waters manages the Division’s $6.5 million budget, oversees a staff of approximately 50 full-time employees, and establishes the direction of Division programs based on market and industry trends.
