SCCB EVENT POLICIES & CODE OF CONDUCT

EVENT PARTICIPATION, HEALTH & SAFETY

Southern Colorado Commercial Brokers (SCCB) is committed to providing a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for its members, guests, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and staff.

Attendees are expected to follow applicable venue requirements and exercise appropriate judgment regarding their own health and safety. By registering for and attending an SCCB event, participants acknowledge that attendance at an in-person event involves inherent risks and voluntarily assume the risks associated with their participation.

SCCB reserves the right to establish or modify reasonable event requirements when necessary to support the safety and well-being of attendees or to comply with venue or governmental requirements.

REGISTRATION, CANCELLATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS

Advance registration may be required for SCCB programs and events. Registration deadlines, cancellation policies, refund eligibility, and other event-specific terms will be identified on the applicable event registration page.

Unless otherwise stated for a specific event, registrations may be transferred to another eligible attendee by contacting SCCB prior to the event.

SCCB reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify an event, program, speaker, schedule, or other event component when circumstances require. If SCCB cancels an event, registered attendees will be notified regarding applicable refunds or other arrangements.

CONSENT TO USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES

Registration for and attendance at SCCB programs and events constitute consent for SCCB to photograph, record, and use an attendee's image, likeness, or voice in event-related photographs, video, social media, publications, and other SCCB promotional or informational materials.

Attendees with questions or concerns regarding photography or recording should contact SCCB staff.

SCCB CODE OF CONDUCT

SCCB is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. Attendees, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, venue personnel, and staff are expected to conduct themselves professionally and in a manner consistent with SCCB's values of integrity, respect, and collaboration.

SCCB's expectations include:

  • No harassment or intimidation. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, unwelcome sexual attention, stalking, or unsolicited physical contact will not be tolerated.
  • Professional and respectful behavior. Communication and conduct should remain appropriate for a professional commercial real estate environment.
  • Respect for others. Attendees, hosts, sponsors, venue personnel, volunteers, and staff should be treated with courtesy and professionalism at all times.
  • Compliance with event and venue requirements. Participants are expected to follow reasonable instructions from SCCB representatives and host venue personnel.
  • Reporting concerns. Anyone who experiences or witnesses harassment, unsafe conduct, or other inappropriate behavior should notify an SCCB Board Member or staff representative as soon as possible.
  • Consequences. SCCB reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to conduct that violates these policies, including issuing a warning, removing an individual from an event without refund, restricting participation in future events, or taking other action consistent with SCCB's governing policies.

By registering for or attending an SCCB program or event, participants acknowledge these Event Policies & Code of Conduct and agree to comply with them throughout the event.
